About Me
My background
From a very young age I enjoyed sports and competing! Originally born in Caracas, Venezuela I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English with some French and Italian. I began in sports with Gymnastics, Tennis, Softball, Basketball, Waterpolo, and am an avid Surfer. I then became a lifeguard and went into Martial Arts. I obtained my 1st degree black belt at the age of 20 and my 3rd degree black belt at the young age of 49. I also became a certified yoga instructor in my later years and truly believe age is just a number. For years, I coached Silver Sneakers and Kickboxing as well as Taekwondo, Yoga, SUPyoga and now Pickleball. Just recently became a certified Scuba Diver! Finding Pickleball in 2016 was a blessing and becoming part of TeamHead in 2019 has led me to feel younger and unstoppable!
I am better known in the Pickleball world as Coach BamBam. I began competing and traveling for Pickleball in 2019 and was fortunate enough to make it to Nationals in my 1st year! I am an avid sports professional, with a true belief that you must use your Mind over Body using flexibility, strength and reaction with muscle memory. This is my 5th year coaching for the City of Alpharetta and being a Sponsored TeamHead player!

My Winning Philosophy:
I believe in inclusive, kind, sportsmanship first. The sport is the game, and we are all in it together. I coach by setting a platform and teaching from the foundation up. Assisting with technical and tactical drills to develop the mind and the game. I also provide video feedback, game analysis and partners analysis. While I am very competitive, I also want to support all the competitors and players as we strive to make the sport of pickleball great.
